Ohlook will be hosting it's 2nd Annual 24 Hour Theater Festival with

APRIL 21 - 23

 Auditions are Saturday, April 1.  To schedule an audition or for information interested students should email Ohlook’s Artistic Director, Jill Blalock Lord, jlord@ohlookperform.com

Auditions are open to anyone Ages 15 - 20.
The production will be directed and choreographed by Michael Sylvester.  Musical direction will be by Mark Christine, from Pace University, NYC.

Actors chosen for the show will rehearse starting 6pm Friday, April 21 and will perform the entire show by Sunday evening, April 23.  There is a $195 production fee for participants that are cast in the show.  Rehearsals will be Friday evening, all day Saturday, April 22, and all day Sunday, April 23.  Must be available for those 3 days in order to be considered for casting.


Michael Sylvester

Michael Sylvester (Choreographer)- is from Dallas, TX.  He recently appeared in Casa Mananas Production of West Side Story! 

Performance Credits: (National Tour) Todrick Hall Presents the Toddlers Ball, Oz The Musical and Twerk Du Soleil. (Regional Theatre) In The Heights (Walnut Street Theatre) Elf The Musical (TUTS) Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (Dallas Theatre Center) Hairspray (Casa Manana) as well as many other theatre's in DFW! Michael has been featured on Poo Poouri's latest Viral video with over 12 million views on YouTube. He has also danced on the MTV Movie Awards 2015, BET Awards Commercial 2015, Season 1 of Todrick Docu-Series on MTV, the FIAT 500, Dance Moms and Cirque Dreams!

Choreography Credits include: Snow White, Rudolph World Premiere, Alamo the Musical, Alice in Wonderland for Casa Manana's Children's Conservatory as well as their Professional Children's Series. Assistant Choreographer for CHOICES the Musical at Kids Who Care Summer Camp and the resident Hip Hop instructor for KWC Childrens Conservatory as well! Footloose and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers(Artisan Center Theatre) Beauty and the Beast (Plaza Theatre Company), Little Shop of horrors, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and All Shook up as well as the Film "Rising Stars" Available on Netflix and in stores.

Mark Christine

Mark is a New York-based actor, music director, and nationally recognized college audition coach. 

He holds a BFA in musical theatre performance (with a focus on music direction, conducting, and arranging) from the University of Michigan and has worked extensively with a focus on bringing the worlds of rock and pop music and contemporary musical theatre. As a pianist/keyboardist, arranger, musical director, and orchestrator he has worked at theatres across the country including Signature, Harlem Stage, The Jungle, La Jolla Playhouse, and others. 

He has recently played as a member of several pop/rock bands including the Stephen Rothkopf Band and David Brown & the Delanos, as well as serving as bandleader/arranger and keyboardist for Lori Pasqualino's You Tube-based "Live Project". His full-length pop producing debut, Lenne Klingaman's "The Heart is the Hunter" , is now available for purchase on iTunes. 

Mark also holds an MFA in Acting from UC San Diego/La Jolla Playhouse, and his acting career has taken him to stages across the nation including Center Theatre Group, the Denver Center, the Guthrie Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and the acclaimed US National Tour of Peter Brook's The Suit. 

As a coach and educator he has developed a successful professional coaching studio in New York and Los Angeles with clients appearing on Broadway, in National Tours, in countless regional productions and on television. He has worked with College Audition Coach since 2005, helping high school students successfully apply for undergraduate theatre and musical theatre BFA degree programs. He currently works in the musical theatre departments at Pace University and the New York Film Academy and has taught guest workshops at numberous BFA and BA acting and musical theatre programs including: Guthrie/University of Minnesota, University of Michigan, UC San Diego, and Relativity School.
